DJ Salvatore Ganacci Added to Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves

Another fighter was announced for Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves and it was unexpected to say the least as it’s European DJ Salvatore Ganacci. Earlier it was revealed that footballer Cristiano Ronaldo would be joining the game and SNK looks to be adding another real life person for the game.

Salvatore’s addition is even more unexpected than Ronaldo though. While the decision to add real life people who aren’t boxers or MMA fighters has confused some gamers, they at least know who Ronaldo is as he’s the debatably the most popular athlete on the planet and immensely popular with a huge portion of the player base of SNK fighters. Salvatore isn’t quite that big though. Many gamers have expressed they aren’t aware of who he is and that’s not unexpected as his brand of music has a somewhat niche audience overall, though he’s probably popular in Europe and I know who he is after stumbling on to a couple of his videos. This announcement comes after SNK announced a collaboration with multiple DJs including Salvatore.

His gameplay does seem funny at least as he essentially sings at you for a lot of his attacks which matches the comedic aspects of some of Salvatore’s music videos. Personally, the decisions to add real life celebrities doesn’t bother me but I do hope characters like Duck King and Kim do find their way into the game eventually as they’re important to a lot of fans of the franchise

Fatal Fury City of the Wolves will launch on April 24th 2025 for PS4 and PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC.

A lifelong gamer who enjoys playing on every platform. Eventually, I grew to love fighting games in particular and began to compete and even win competitions for some games, primarily the 2013 revival of killer instinct. Outside of gaming I also have aspirations of being a comic book artist with a few ideas of my own im developing in my head. When reviewing any game I try to keep my mind open and avoid nitpicking too much. It takes a lot for something to detract me from truly enjoying it so I may not focus on smaller details the way some others might do. I enjoy almost any genre, just don't ask me to play horror games or puzzle games.
