March 2025 Nintendo Direct Announced

In a shocking turn of events, Nintendo has announced a Nintendo Direct with 24 hours notice. On March 27, 2025, there will be a Nintendo Direct announcing upcoming games for the Switch. They have been very clear there will be no updates regarding the Nintendo Switch 2 during this time. As we previously reported, the Switch 2 will have a direct of its own on April 2, 2025.

While details of tomorrow’s Nintendo Direct are not yet available, rumor mills are swirling with what we may see. They’ve already confirmed it will be around 30 minutes of upcoming games for the Switch. Will we finally get a release date for Metroid Prime 4? Or will this just be highlighting some games they hope to be huge releases for Nintendo Switch?

Some games that are coming to Nintendo Switch that are confirmed and may make an appearance include Promise Mascot Agency, Rusty Rabbit, Tempopo, and The Hundred Line -Last Defense Academy all with April releases. In May, the Switch will see games such as Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma and Capcom Fighting Collection 2. While these are all confirmed games with release dates, there are other games that have yet to see a full release date. Could Silksong finally get a release date to the joy of many patient gamers?

Will this March 2025 Nintendo Direct finally reveal the release date for Metroid Prime 4?

As Nintendo has not declared this to be a partner direct or an indie showcase, we could see quite a mixture of both. Could previously released games receive DLC? Perhaps some additional previously unreleased levels for Super Mario Bros Wonder or Princess Peach Showtime? What shadow drops will we see at this Nintendo Direct? Will we get an update about classic games joining the Switch online as well? There are many questions and thankfully, we only need to wait 24 hours before getting our answers.

I expect to see reminders that Donkey Kong Country Returns HD is already released. If we are lucky, Pokemon fans may get some updates on Pokemon Legends: Z-A, but my guess would be this will be a Switch 2 release.
