When it comes to fighting games, the soundtrack of the games are often some of the most memorable aspects of the game. From Marvel vs Capcom 2’s take you for a ride character select theme to Mick Gordon’s work on killer instinct, a great OST can really help it stand out.

Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves looks to keep that trend going as it’s been announced that they’re working with 11 different DJS from around the world for its in game soundtrack with 19 different tracks between all of them combined.
I’m familiar with a few of them such as AfroJack and Salvatore Ganacci though others I’m not as familiar with. Regardless, it’ll be interesting to see how this fits with Fatal Fury as many of the series character themes hold a special place for fighting game fans such as Geese Howard’s theme.
While this could be nice, I also hope it doesn’t replace traditional character themes as well. For all its positives, one disappointment with Street Fighter fighter 6 was its removal of the famous character themes in favor of tracks that often don’t really feel at place in a fighting game and overall just aren’t as memorable.

Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves launches April 24th, 2025 for PS4/PS5, PC and Xbox Series X/S.
