One of this generations surprise breakout hits is getting a sequel. Today developer FuturLab announced PowerWash Simulator 2 coming later in 2025 for consoles and PC.
PowerWash Simulator 2 will look to build on the original that has been played by over 17 million players. That figure is 5 million bigger than our previous update back in April of 12 million players. The sequel will feature and all new campaign with all new locations and improved visuals. The game will also for the first time feature split-screen co-op.
"PowerWash Simulator 2 feels like a natural evolution from its predecessor. The original game's design was all about eliminating anything that detracted from the pure satisfaction of taking something dirty and making it clean. PowerWash Simulator 2 is all about adding in even more avenues for players to achieve that same sense of satisfaction, with new tools, features and quality of life improvements," says Dan Chequer, Design Director at FuturLab. "We’re really excited to see players dust off their power washers and get stuck into this brand-new campaign, that brings you even more to clean, and even more ways to release the pressure."
Of note is that the first game did so well for the team at FuturLab that the sequel is self published. The original game was in collaboration with Square Enix.

Clean in Split-screen!
Satisfaction on the double! Share campaign progression online together for the first time. In addition to online play, split-screen co-op has entered the chat. Team up and take on the dirt with twice the wash-power, from the convenience of one screen.
While we have no confirmed release date for PowerWash Simulator 2 beyond a vague late 2025 date we will surely learn more soon. FuturLab says to expect more information in April, so perhaps that will include a release date. PowerWash Simulator 2 will release on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S/X.
