Pirates seem to be all the buzz lately in gaming, and we have a new contender to add to the mix as today Italian developer 3DClouds has announced their new game Trident's Tale for consoles and PC this May.
Trident's Tale is a 10-15 hour single player, third-person narrative driven pirate adventure set in a vibrant world. You will explore the sea filled with unique islands which are filled with dungeons waiting to be searched and filled with enemies. Expect to solve riddles, fight off rival pirates on both land and sea and perhaps even a mythical sea creature or two.
Developer 3DClouds is self publishing the game and is most known for licensed games Tramsformers: Galactric Trials and Paw Patrol World. The 60 man team has said Trident's Tale has been a passion project of theirs:
"Trident's Tale has been a labour of love for our 60 person studio," said Franceso Bruschi, CEO of 3DClouds. "Any fans of pirates will have a blast in our game with a compelling 15+ hour story-driven campaign, a massive open world to explore, compelling sword and gun combat, lots of crafting and customisation opportunities and, my personal favourite, naval combat with challenging mythical monsters to vanquish and a fully dynamic weather system."
The game will likely draw comparisons to Sea Of Thieves in both its art style and gameplay, though that's certainly not a bad thing. I've always wanted a campaign focused version of Sea Of Thieves so this has instantly come onto my radar.

As mentioned off the top we won't have to wait too long for Trident's Tale with it releasing in May. No exact date has been given just yet. Trident's Tale will be available worldwide for PC, Xbox Series S/X, Xbox One, PlayStation 4/5 and Nintendo Switch.
