INAYAH: Life After Gods Gets A Release Date

ExoGenisis announced that their debut game, INAYAH : Life After Gods will be launching for PC on March 27th 2025. After previewing the game myself, it looks to be a strong metroidvania with a strong emphasis on boss battles.

The game’s Tartatovsky esque hand drawn art style is sure to capture the eyes of many of gamers alone. But its gameplay feels like it could be one of the more unique among the genre. The game sees you swap between 3 different weapons. A sword, a flail and a set of fists. Each plays very differently with their own powers. There is a great deal of customization between each ranging from simple attack boosts to buffs that are double edged swords.

The game will feature a combat system where you swap seamlessly between 3 distinct weapons.

INAYAH’s boss battles look like they’ll be a primary focus for the game. ExoGenisis is claiming the game will feature more than 20 unique bosses. Though I did have some concerns about the difficulty of one, the games bosses look to be well designed overall and this could prove to be a favorite among boss rush fans.

The game is set to have over 20 unique boss fights.

And who knows, perhaps with access to more upgrades it could mitigate some of the difficulty around the bosses as you experiment with different buffs for Inayah.

While the game is confirmed to launch on PC on the 27th next month, a console release on PlayStation, Xbox and switch is also planned at an unknown date for 2025.

A lifelong gamer who enjoys playing on every platform. Eventually, I grew to love fighting games in particular and began to compete and even win competitions for some games, primarily the 2013 revival of killer instinct. Outside of gaming I also have aspirations of being a comic book artist with a few ideas of my own im developing in my head. When reviewing any game I try to keep my mind open and avoid nitpicking too much. It takes a lot for something to detract me from truly enjoying it so I may not focus on smaller details the way some others might do. I enjoy almost any genre, just don't ask me to play horror games or puzzle games.
