Hazelight studios is all about creating co-op experiences with friends. So much so that their games are only playable in co-op. Thankfully to help with that they have a friend pass meaning anyone who buys the game can invite one friend even if they don't own the game. With next months Split Fiction they are kicking that into high gear making the pass cross platform for the first time.
That's right, if you buy the game on PlayStation 5 and have a friend on an Xbox Series console you can invite them to play with you through the friend pass.
If you've never experienced a Hazelight game I seriously recommend you to change that asap. The co-op experience in them is second to none with heartfelt stories and top notch game play. Split Fiction looks to continue this tradition.
Split Fiction will see you control one of two protagonists, Zoe or Mio, 2 authors who become trapped within their own stories. The 2 authors, who don't know each other, must work their way through the levels to escape their fate. Considering both wrote very different stories with very different settings it will make for varied gameplay.
What makes Hazelight games so special is the varied gameplay, and Split Fiction will be more of the same. You may give yourself controlling dragons or in a gun fight only to then be in a complex platforming section. The variety helps keep things fresh and fun.
And like any good co-op game, working with your co-op partner is paramount to your success. Without them you will be forever stick in your fictional story. So make sure you pick the right friend to bring to the game! With the game already having gone gold and being a couple weeks a way you won't have to wait much longer.

Split Fiction releases March 6th for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S/X.
