When Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 was announced, fans of the original were delighted because although the game didn’t do all that well critically, it has certainly developed a cult following that cannot be understated. Well, for those diehards and new fans, I have some very good news.
It was announced today, February 17th, 2025, via the official Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 Twitter/X account that the game has now sold 2 million copies.

Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 already announced that the game had sold over 1 million copies on the game’s launch day, so it’s great to see more people picking it up.
The squeal to the original Kingdom Come Deliverance, which launched on February 13th 2018, still has a ways to go before it catches up to the original, which, as of right now has sold 8 million copies, but so far the sequel has been selling at a much faster rate. 2 million of those 8 million copies actually came after the trailer for Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 dropped.
It took the original game a year to sell 2 million copies, so to say this game, selling 2 million in just a few weeks, is impressive. It is an understatement, in my opinion.
It’s hard to say at this point when the games momentum is ever going to stop, but at this pace, I wouldn’t be shocked to see the sequel out sell the original buy the end of the year should the game go on discount between now and then.
