While everyone eagerly anticipates Avowed (it's excellent by the way) next week if they didn't get the premium upgrade, there is some bad news to pass along in regards to games leaving Xbox Game Pass. The service is set to lose another 8 games in February.
This wave of games leaving has a few pretty big games as well so it will likely sting a bit for some. At least it's not as RPG heavy as it's been of late. All 8 games will be leaving the service February 28th.
Games Leaving Xbox Game Pass
- Yakuza 3 Remastered
- Yakuza 4 Remastered
- Maneater
- Gris
- Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty
- Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun
- Paw Patrol World
- Space Engineers

The biggest loss here is Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty. Releasing in 2023 as a day 1 game pass game it was met with a positive reception. With it leaving at the end of the month it will have spent just shy of 2 years in the service. It's also a pretty big game with estimates to 100% the game coming in at 50+ hours. If you want to get to this one you may want to start soon.
Outside of Wo Long there's not a ton of big names here. The Yakuza games are popular but being remasters they aren't as big as the newer games. Considering Like A Dragon: Pirate Yakuza In Hawaii is coming out later this month those fans will be focused on that more than likely.
If you have kids though you may be disappointed about Paw Patrol World leaving. Of course you can always pick the game up at a discount before it leaves the service if you'd like. Nothing like trying to explain to a child why their favourite game or show is suddenly no longer available.
Hopefully whatever is announced for the second wave of new additions next week will help take the sting off these losses. We currently don't know of any of the new games releasing on the service for the back half of the month outside of Avowed.
