If you haven’t already heard, TikTok is being shut down in the US. An unexpected outcome however, is that all other apps under the parent company BytDance will also be included in this ban. That means, Marvel Snap.
Marvel Snap is a digital card game made by Second Dinner. A game that took off the ground running! Making 2 million in its first week and taking the number 1 most played game spot on Iphones in the US and Canada. I myself never really play games of this sort, yet I’ve put in well over 100$ USD.
ByteDance was the publisher of Marvel Snap. Back in 2023 they divested as part of a “restructure”. Nobody seems to know how these ties still hold between the two since there is no longer an affiliation between the two companies. Guilty from affiliation?
If you try to access the game, you will be met by this message…
“Sorry MARVEL SNAP isn’t available right now.
A law banning MARVEL SNAP has been enacted in the US. Unfortunately, that means you can’t use MARVEL SNAP for now. Rest assured, we’re working to restore our service in the US.”
