Earlier this week we reported that TeamKill Media, creators of Quantum Error announced their next game, Code Violet. The announcement was simply a post to say it exists and that a trailer was coming. Today we got that trailer.
While the trailer is all CGI we do at least get a sense of the theme of the game. While TeamKill is calling it a spiritual successor to Dino Crisis, they were never involved with that series. However the inspiration is clearly from the Dino Crisis games. In the trailer we see many different dinosaurs that will terrorize the game.
You will play as Violet Sinclair, a girl plucked from the past who must unravel the mysteries of the Aion Bioengineering Complex in this third person horror. The complex has been told to evacuate. Violet will fight and sneak her way through to escape and save as many as she can along the way.
According to some responses to fans on X, the studio is aiming for the game to play similar to the Resident Evil remakes. Gameplay will feature puzzles, inventory, crafting for ammo and health.

It is an ambitious looking game from a small team to be sure. As mentioned earlier the team is most known for Quantum Error, an ambitious looking game that failed to live up to expectations. With that in mind I'd definitely be waiting for sone genuine gameplay before setting any major expectations here.
The good news for those interested is the game is scheduled to release in July 2025 so we shouldn't have to wait too long to see gameplay. As is the case with Quantum Error, Code Violet is a PlayStation 5 console exclusive. It will also be available on PC.
