Xbox Game Pass is set to have a banner year. With games such as Fable, Atomfall and Doom The Dark Ages just to name a few expected in 2025 it's going to be great. Xbox is starting the year off with a bang and we now know what to expect in the early part of January.
January is starting so strong for Xbox Game Pass that we already knew of 3 day 1 releases for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass users with Eternal Strands, Sniper Elite: The Residtance and Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector joining the service.
However those are all launching at the end of the month. With this first batch of announcements out today we have the confirmation of a couple of rumours. Everything else is games already in Game Pass Ultimate and being converted to Standard.

Coming Soon
- Lightyear Frontier (Game Preview) (Xbox Series X|S) - January 8
- My Time at Sandrock (Console) - January 8
- Robin Hood - Sherwood Builders (Xbox Series X|S) - January 8
- Rolling Hills (Console) - January 8
- EA Sports UFC 5 (Cloud and Xbox Series X|S) EA Play - January 14
- Diablo (PC) - January 14
The 4 games on January 8th are all games previously on Game Pass Ultimate and PC. Diablo is something fans of the series have been hoping would come for quite some time. While it's not a remake like Diablo 2 Resurrected it's still one of the greatest games ever made.
Fight fans will also be happy to see UFC 5 join the service. As is the case with all EA games we knew it was coming, we just didn't know when. We also previously reported on the 6 games leaving the service in January. You have just a few more days to get to these if you want to.
All told today's announcement is just an appetizer for the main course that will be the second half of January announcements as highlighted earlier. Enjoy the games fellow gamers!
