Wishing a Happy New Year to you, fellow gamers! And to kick off 2025, PlayStation has announced their PS+ Essential Monthly Games for January – Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, Need for Speed Hot Pursuit, and The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe.
In Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, play in either solo or co-op mode in the open-world city of Metropolis to fend off invading aliens and several DC Super Heroes who had once vowed to protect the city that they are now seeking to destroy. Rocksteady Studios (best known for the acclaimed Batman: Arkham series) provides four DC Super-Villains with their own unique move sets and traversal skills with which to explore Metropolis.
Do you feel it? The need for speed? In Need for Speed Hot Pursuit, embrace your inner speed demon as either an outlaw or a cop with some of the world’s hottest high-performance cars. Will you use your cunning wile to outsmart law enforcement, or utilize an armory of tactical weapons to stop those breaking the law? With enhanced visuals, cross-platform multiplayer, and DLC content, get behind the wheel this month.
Have you ever wondered if free will exists in video gaming? The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe will put that theory to the test with a re-imagining of this 2013 award-winning indie game. The original Stanley Parable is preserved in all its quirky glory, with the caveat that the labyrinth of the world is much larger, with new content, new choices, and new secrets. Galactic Cafe has also provided new accessibility features, including localization of in-world text, colorblind options, and content warnings. And the biggest sell – Kevan Brighting will be with you every step of the way.
