2024 was quite the year for gaming wasn’t it? There was a plethora of great games that released across all genres, and of course the biggest news of all being that Gamer Social Club was founded! I say that in jest of course, but 2024 was indeed our first year as a site. As we’ve grown with you readers we’ve tried to bring a unique view to gaming media and hopefully we’ve done that.
As is the case with our approach to writing, our game award nominees and winners will also like be a bit more unique. It being our first year we had no real mandate on how to do things in terms of playing games. Many sites will typically make most of their writers try and play as many of the potential award winners throughout the year. While we plan to do that more in the coming years, this year was more about us getting setup. As such our lineup here might come with some looks, but these are the games we enjoyed most, and they are good games even if some are a little off the board at first glance!
Part of what Gamer Social Club is, is to highlight games that others perhaps do not. While we still cover the biggest games, we do try and put an emphasis on the lesser known games.
