Looking for an adventure game to co-op with a buddy set on a stunningly beautiful alien world? Revenge Of The Savage Planet might just be that game and we now have a trailer to show you why as well as a release window for 2025.
Announced today at the PC Gaming Show by developer Raccoon Logic, Revenge Of The Savage Planet looks to turn up the fun a notch and bring the studio some luck after a tumultuous few years after releasing the first game under the name Typhoon Studios.
The game also got a May 2025 release window with a bigger gameplay reveal coming December 17th. Revenge Of The Savage Planet will be available on Xbox Series S/X, PlayStation 5 and PC.
Journey To The Savage Planet was a surprise hit back in 2020 with its gorgeous world, fun gameplay and quirky transmissions from CEO Martin Tweed. The developer has had quite the journey (pun intended) ever since. They were bought by Google only to be disbanded when Google abandoned the Stadia, only to be reborn again as Raccoon Logic. They are now back with the sequel Revenge Of The Savage Planet.
The premise of Revenge Of The Savage Planet remains similar to that of the first game. Explore the planet and document everything from the plants to the wildlife. Kindred Aerospace CEO Martin Tweed is back as he looks to knock fellow CEO Gunther Harrison down a few pegs. The interactions with Tweed in the first game were hilarious so I can only imagine what they will cook up this time.
Alex Hutchinson, Creative Director at Raccoon Logic spoke on today's announcement saying: We're thrilled to share that Revenge of the Savage Planet launches in May next year. This new chapter sees the return of everyone's favorite Kindred Aerospace CEO, Martin Tweed, as he rallies the troops against his new nemesis, Gunther Harrison, the CEO of Alta Interglobal. While that's all we can say on Tweed and Gunther for now, we hope you enjoy watching the story unfold as you explore the far reaches of space, stick your nose in every nook and cranny, and work on serving up some delicious, delicious revenge."
For fans looking to play with a partner Revenge Of The Savage Planet will feature both local and online co-op with one other player. It will also feature full crossplay support.
The game will also get a physical version as well as digital on Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5. You can pre-order the Day One Edition to get an exclusive in game "Hot Whizz" spacesuit as well as an aromatic scratch "˜n' sniff art card.
