Dauntless, the free co-op monster-hunting action game is set to finally release on Steam as well as receive a massive update across all platforms on December 5th titled Dauntless: Awakening.

The new Awakening update will see full cross-platform support as well as cross-progression allowing players to play on Epic Games, Steam, Xbox, PlayStation and Nintendo Switch with their most up to date character. Awakening will also be the first of many upcoming seasons and sees a plethora of new content.

The biggest piece of new content is the new Behemoth enemy Karkonos who was created with help from the Dauntless community. Karkonos can be found in the haunting Twilight's Domain hunting grounds. This is where players can earn parts to craft the coveted Brineguard Armour Set.

Also included in the Awakening season are 18 new weapons, 7 of which can be earned by completing various early in game quests. The other 11 weapons will be available by earning Weapon Tokens. Weapon Tokens can be earned by completing weekly challenges in both the free and paid tracks of the new Hunt Pass. For more information on the Hunt Pass you can find it here.

Each weapon will feature 25 unique talents that can be unlocked while levelling up, with a level cap on each weapon of 60. Those talents will help boost your special, active, and passive abilities.

All told this is a major update for Dauntless, and with the addition of Steam the game will only get bigger from here. So grab your friends and get hunting those monsters.
