Alongside announcing their schedule for 2025, the London Games Festival has launched its own consumer expo, New Game Plus. The festival will have several events on between 2nd and 13th of April, including Now Play This, Screen Play, and the BAFTA Game Awards on the 8th.
Open to all on the 3rd and 4th April, New Game Plus is the headline event as well as the 10th anniversary of the London Games Festival, featuring games from around the world. Set to be held at the London Museum, tickets will go on sale sometime this December.
Amongst the games to be announced for New Game Plus will be 30 titles from the festival’s Official Selection. The Ensemble exhibition will also be part of the event, highlighting the work of 8 Black, Asian and other minority ethnic developers based in the UK.

The London Games Festival website is currently boasting some impressive numbers from this year’s festivities, calling it a “record-breaking year”. LGF ’24 saw more than 300 games shown, over 4,100 industry professionals, and at least 100,000 attendees throughout the event!
As I said in my article covering my day at EGX just last month, it has been tough to see what were some of the UK’s biggest gaming events shrink over the years. So I find it reassuring to see others look to fill the gaps and provide opportunities for the fans, the brands and the creators to come together.
Hopefully New Game Plus can deliver something close to what we had, and the London Games Festival can continue to grow.
Will you be booking at ticket for New Game Plus next year? What are your thoughts on live gaming events?
