Some pretty big news has dropped today about Death Stranding, both the original game and the upcoming sequel.
Today, the creator Hideo Kojima announced on X that not only, will Death Stranding the Directors Cut come to Xbox Series X/S console, but it is out today for only 19.99$ USD. That is 50% off, only for a limited time though, so you might want to jump on that.
Back in November 2019 Death Stranding released on PS4 consoles exclusively. It was met with an 83% on Opencritic and an 82% on metacritic.
The Sequel, Death Stranding: On the Beach is currently in development exclusively for the PS5. The creator Hideo Kojima has also announced alongside Xbox that a new game called OD with be coming exclusively to Xbox.
However that's not all as we have now learned via a press release that Kojima Productions fully owns the Death Stranding IP. This development increases the likelihood that Death Stranding 2 will come to Xbox as well. Whether it comes on launch or at a later date remains to be seen but it is certainly a big piece of news for Xbox fans.
Until those games arrive, Xbox users have only had the Death Stranding movie that is in the works at A24 to look forward to. But not After today.

According to the website How Long To Beat, the game takes 40Hrs to mainline the story, 60Hrs with side quests, and 113 Hrs for completionists.
