Naoki Yoshida, producer of the smash hits Final Fantasy XIV and XVI, said that the publisher was planning to release more titles on Xbox. Speaking to 4Gamer about Fantasian Neo Dimension, he confirmed “In the future, Square Enix titles will be released simultaneously on each platform more and more”.
“Of course, we want you to play it a lot on other platforms as well,” he said about Fantasian Neo Dimension. “This time, we will also release the Xbox Series X/S version at the same time.”

Known to his fans as “Yoshi-P”, Yoshida is a much respected veteran of Square Enix, with his credits going back to the late 90’s. He is also a firm supporter of multiplatform releases, even just a month ago saying how he wishes to see Final Fantasy XVI on Xbox.
“We do want to release it [Final Fantasy XVI] on Xbox,” he said back in October. “But when it comes to the specifics such as when the game would be available and such, we are not in a position to be able to share anything. But of course, I want to say that it’s not as if there’s zero hope, and we very much do want to achieve that,” Yoshida added. “So players should not give up in terms of their hopes.”
With Square Enix reportedly shifting to a mulitplatform strategy due to sales expectation not being met, the probability of seeing some of the most beloved and successful JRPGS finally release on Xbox is growing. Fantasian Neo Dimension launches on Nintendo Switch, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam on December 5th, 2024.
