Nintendo Announces Music Streaming App Exclusive To NSO Subscribers

A day after randomly announcing one of the most begged for Nintendo Switch ports on a random Tuesday morning with Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition, Nintendo has done it again! Sort of?

On a random Wednesday evening (Thursday morning in Japan), Nintendo dropped an announcement of a highly requested service on Twitter/X. Nintendo revealed the brand new NSO subscriber exclusive mobile app “Nintendo Music” The trailer can be watched HERE.

What the heck is Nintendo Music you may ask? Nintendo states it is a dedicated music app exclusive to NSO subscribers. The app houses music from different Nintendo games and eras. Available now on iOS and Android, the app contains music from newer games as well as having retro offerings from Nintendo’s library. The app also includes the ability to hide certain tracks that may contain game spoilers, as well as extend or loop tracks so you can listen to them longer.

Nintendo has also highlighted the ability to create playlists, search existing playlists based on specific Nintendo characters, and select featured playlists to fit your current mood! In the trailer they highlight specific series such as Pokemon, Zelda, Mario, and more. The app has launched for North America, Japan, Europe, and the UK so far. The app is available for the Apple iOS App Store and the Google Play store. Will you be using this new service?
