Not that long ago, we reported on the infamous developers behind the game The Day Before, Fntastic announcing their return along with a new Kickstarter to fund their next game titled “Escape Factory.” Well, it appears that due to a lack of interest, the Kickstarter meant to fund the project has been canceled.

That’s not all, though. In the same post, Fntastic detailed their intentions to make a new “action-horror-prop-game”  simply titled “ITEMS.” Minutes later, a post from a different account dedicated to this new game post the following.

I can confirm through their discord that there have been many accounts asking for them to bring back their game Propnight, which was released on November 30th, 2024, which they no longer own the rights to.

For those unfamiliar with The Day Before, you can check out my write up on that but it’s been panned as one of the worst launches in gaming, certainly the worse of last year garnering a 12 on Open Critic. As far as Medacritic is concerned, it only garnered 7 reviews, none of which have scores an all of which are negative. I don’t tell people what to do with their money, but please research these developers before you support them.
