Earlier this year Microbird Games released their debut game Dungeons Of Hinterberg, delighting fans and critics alike with its dungeon crawling-esque gameplay and gorgeous art style. Today the developer announced its first major update to the game bringing a new game+ mode, new achievements and much more.
When I reviewed Dungeons Of Hinterberg back in July, I couldn't help but think it might be a contender for indie game of the year. Released as an Xbox console exclusive and PC it was available day 1 on Xbox Game Pass and had a lot of charm and tons going for it.

With today's new game plus announcement it brings a new element to the game, allowing you to play through the game with your already earned upgrades, relationships, gear and much more to tackle Hinterberg and its dungeons once again. The update also comes with new achievements giving those who like to hunt for more than just new gear a little extra motivation.
But don't just take it from me as Microbird says New Game+ "is to provide players an enhanced second playthrough. You can play through the game from the start, while keeping your last playthrough's inventory, player stats, and most of the perks that you received from relationship level-ups! In addition, you can choose to either keep your past relationships or reset them and build them again from scratch."

There's also new ways to play the game with 4 new conduits and a slew of new outfits to try on to have you looking your best. You can see a full list of patch notes here. And while it is on Game Pass, for those that don't have the service Dungeons Of Hinterberg is 50% off on Steam for a limited time.
