Announced as a story-driven, fantasy, action RPG set in medieval Europe, aimed at mature audiences and using Unreal Engine 5. Now being published by Bandai Namco, it is the first entry in what the studio are calling the Dawnwalker saga.
Rebel Wolves’ chief publishing officer Tomasz Tinc said “Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe, a company known for its dedication to the role-playing genre and willingness to engage with new IPs, is a perfect match for our wolfpack".

The Polish studio was co-founded back in 2022 by Konrad Tomaszkiewicz who was director on The Witcher 3 and was at CD Projekt Red for over 17 years. There are quite a few former Witcher developers at Rebel Wolves, the most recent addition being Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz as creative back in January on this year. As well as working on the Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077 as lead quest designer, but also was at Riot Games for 2 years working as narrative designer on their upcoming League of Legends MMO.
“This is another key milestone in our content development strategy for the Western market. By combining our strengths, we will deliver this first game of the studio to a worldwide audience,” said Alberto Gonzalez Lorca, Bandai Namco Europe VP for business development. “We're excited with the universe being created by Rebel Wolves thanks to their extremely talented team of developers, resulting in a great addition to our portfolio.”
It has been a busy year for Bandai Namco, who just published Unknown 9: Awakening and Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO. Check out our review of Sparking! ZERO.
Both Rebel Wolves and Bandai Namco took to social media to share the news, with the publisher reposting the developer’s post with their own message.

In a press release published in December 2022, the first entry in the Dawnwalker saga is described as “a dark fantasy RPG with a focus on storytelling and accommodating the players' choices.” No doubt it will be some time before we hear more about this game, with everything up to its title still not known.
