Assassin’s Creed Shadows Collector’s Edition Update

As previously reported, Assassin’s Creed Shadows has been delayed into 2025. This morning a new update pertaining to the Assassin’s Creed Shadows Collector’s Edition was tweeted out from the Access the Animus X account. With this update we are seeing some changes for the Collector’s Edition version of the game.

As stated in the tweet, the release date is still confirmed for February 14th, 2025 but there is no 3 days early access, no longer a season pass and the price has been decreased. The original price of the Collector’s Edition was $279.99/usd, and it is now decreased to $229.99/usd. It also mentions that “some design elements might change”, but they do not give specifics. Digital content will include the Sekiryu Dual Pack, Sekiryu Hideout Pack and Five mastery points. You also still have the base game, steelbook, Naoe’s katana Tsuba, a world map, Naoe and Yasuke statue, an artbook, a wall scroll and 2 Sumi-E Lithographs.

As someone who was interested in purchasing the Collector’s Edition for this game, I am happy to see the $50 price decrease. I’m also little put off because they removed the 3 day early access and the season pass, not mention I would like more information as to what designs maybe changing. I have checked their discord and searched for more information as to why these changes were made but have yet to find anything as of yet. As of now though, I’m still looking forward to the game and the collector’s edition of Assassin’s Creed Shadows.
