Update #2: For those who stayed up (or woke up early) for Vessel Of Hatred, the game has now officially gone live after experiencing some delays due to server issues.
Players on Xbox who want to play the Spiritborn class however will have to do an extra step as it is not working for many. The solution can be seen below from X user Nathan Ball.
Update: Adam has headed to X again to say that it looks like Vessel Of Hatred will go online in about 2 hours from now (it’s 9:35pm EST as of this update). Additionally those on Battle.Net will need another large update once it goes live.
Original story: Diablo 4’s first expansion was supposed to release tonight at 7PM EST. However there has been a server issue. So if you try to access the game you will be greeted by an emergency maintenance screen.
Adam Fletcher, a director from Blizzard took to X to update us on the situation. Saying that “they are looking at a small delay”. He continues to clarify in a reply that “I’m hoping its just by a couple of hours. But we shall see.”.
