Earlier today Sony put up a blog post detailing their presence at the Tokyo Game Show 2024, which is running from Thursday 26th to Sunday 29th September (public access limited to the last two days).
The post covers a number of aspects, chiefly among them what games people will be able to play at their booth as well as which titles will be shown off on the ‘PlayStation Presents PLAY! PLAY! PLAY! TGS2024 Special Stage’.

Fans will be able to enjoy hands on time with the recently released GOTY contender, Astro Bot, and the highly anticipated Monster Hunter Wilds, releasing in 2025. This is alongside a host of 3rd party titles to try out, including Dynasty Warriors ORIGINS, Metal Gear Solid DELTA: Snake Eater, Neva, Sonic x Shadows Generations, and Metaphor ReFantazio among others.
Sony will also be bringing the newly announced PS5 Pro to the show. This will be the first opportunity for the public to see it in the flesh, and also have a chance to try it out by playing enhanced versions of either Gran Turismo 7 or Final Fantasy VII Rebirth.

Sony will have several presentations over the course of the event. Some covering the games available to demo. There will even be an indie game demo hosted by the director and producer of Final Fantasy XIV, Yoshi P! Undoubtedly, there will be a lot of people excited to hear and see more from two of the games being highlighted over the course of the event: Silent Hill 2 and the showcase closure Death Stranding 2: On The Beach.

It seems Sony is pulling out all the stops for TGS this year, bringing together their biggest hits of the last year, new hardware with hands on experiences, a strong host of 3rd party titles (a number of which are exclusive to the PlayStation platform), and a whole section dedicated to celebrating PlayStation’s 30th anniversary.
Lots for fans to get excited for, and a great way for PlayStation to end 2024 on a high note (someone please bring me back some Astro Bot goodies!)
