Lots of easy achievements and trophies up for grabs this week along with tons of variety. I highly recommend Samurai Kento and Deep Beyond from this weeks selection.

While Kiki – A Vibrant 3D Platformer offers an easy route to GamerScore and trophies, its controls can be quite frustrating. The game is a 3D platformer where your goal is to navigate from the start to the finish of each level while collecting 3 stars and 1 trophy. For full game completion, you don’t need to collect everything on each level"”you can simply run from start to finish, ignoring the collectibles.

A free title update has added an extra 1,000 GamerScore, requiring you to collect specific items on levels 10, 20, 30, 40, and 50. To achieve full completion, you must beat all 60 obstacle courses on Xbox. If you miss any collectibles, you can use the chapter select feature to go back and retrieve them.

While Kiki – A Vibrant 3D Platformer is indeed vibrant in color, as mentioned, the controls can be an issue for this game. Most of the mechanics involve jumping and dodging obstacles such as saws. The problem I found was that the game frequently doesn’t register inputs. Many times I would be almost done a level and the game wouldn’t register a button input and I would fall in a hole. This game definitely triggers my rage quit reaction. So you’ve been warned.

Road Defense: Outsiders offers a dynamic blend of Tower Defense, Shoot ’em Up, and Roguelike elements. Your main task is to protect vehicles as they travel across the road. Each vehicle triggers a wave of enemies, and you can upgrade various towers to fend off these waves and defend the vehicles.

As you progress, the waves of enemies become increasingly difficult. When a vehicle successfully reaches the end of the road, you earn money that can be used to buy new weapons for your towers or upgrade existing ones. Additionally, you can shoot down enemies yourself, earning experience points with each kill. Leveling up provides you with a choice of player skills or rewards to enhance your capabilities.

Inevitably, you will face defeat, but when that happens, you'll receive money based on the number of enemies you've killed during the match. This currency can be spent on permanent upgrades to your player's skills and stats, ensuring you grow stronger with each run.

Achievement wise, this game is pretty straight forward. You will need to have a succesful run on villages 0-6, purchase tower upgrades, level up to 15 in one run and defeat 20,000 enemies. As mentioned the game gets easier the more you play so expect to frequently repeat levels until you have permanently upgraded some stats. This repetition is key to achieving all the game's achievements.

Samurai Kento is a super cute 8 bit style RPG platformer. You play as the samurai Kento who is out to defend his homeland from the evil forces known as yokai.

You start the game armed with just a sword. As you progress you will find scrolls that use MP and can be used to unlock new areas. Enemies killed award XP and money. There is a shop that can be found in each of the games 4 biomes, where you can upgrade HP, MP and purchase different items such as bow and arrows, a world map, xp and health and magic refills.

Achievements in the game are very straightforward and will come from naturally playing the game. Kill enemies, level up, open treasure chests, etc. For full Gamerscore completion you will need to defeat the first 2 bosses of the game Earth Yokai Guardian and King Fire Ghost.

Samurai Kento was one of my favorite easy games from this week and I definitely recommend this one. lightUP tends to develop some very relaxed, yet enjoyable platformers.

Deep Beyond is a very simple and linear point and click adventure. Items that can be interacted with are usually found in orange. There is only one “missable” achievement for interacting with your dog Chester. However, there really is nothing completely missable in this game as there is chapter select. The final achievements deal with choosing a specific ending, but again there is chapter select, so you can just reload the final segment to view the 3 different endings. Very easy, very chill game.

Customers From Hell is a wave survival game where you need to defend your store stock from angry Karen’s. I’m not a super fan of this game, but the achievements were very easy and super quick. The controls are pretty janky and even with headshots on the angry customers it could sometimes take way too many shots to take some down and on others they would go down in 1-2 hits.

As I bought this game just for the achievements let’s go over those. All achievements are earned from unlocking passageways to find different items laying throughout the store. I found with surviving 1-3 waves over 2-3 matches I was able to unlock all of the areas needed to find the required items. I did not bother with upgrading the base. Guides are available, but honestly this is an easy one and should clock in around 30 minutes for the full completion.

Dice Assassin currently offers up 4,000 Gamerscore on Xbox between the 2 versions. The game is a turn based strategy game where you can select weapons and cards to defeat your enemies. The game plays out on what looks like a classic game board. I highly recommend starting with the tutorial to learn the mechanics.

Achievement wise you should earn most naturally as you play and try to reach the 50th level. This needs to be done in one sitting. I was quite frustrated after playing and reaching level 20 and the game decided to dash board me. As for dying you might need to try to do so. I found enemies were not really attacking me, especially in the earlier levels. Expect more Gamerscore to follow with this game in free title updates.
