Just one day after the full reveal of the PS5 Pro, which is a digital only console , the attachable disc drives are selling out on some sites.
The Playstation disc drive (79.99), has been a purchasable item since the release of the PS5 Slim. After the announcement of the PS5 Pro and that it will be an all digital console, we are starting to see the disc drive selling and selling out on some sites.
The disc drive has made it up to #8 on Amazon’s best sellers list and per Wario 64 on Twitter/X and is currently sold out on Amazon and Best Buy shipping. I guess the Sony/ Playstation fans said “No disc drive no problem” when it come to the PS5 Pro.
I was able verify at the time of this article the disc drive was still available on Target, Gamestop, Walmart and The Playstation Direct Store.
