It has been recently revealed that Kojima Productions, the studio of legendary Metal Gear Solid creator Hideo Kojima, will be hosting a special panel entirely focussed on the upcoming PS5 title, Death Stranding 2: On the Beach.
The event, presented by PlayStation, will take place at next month’s Tokyo Game Show on 29 September between 10:30-11:30am (JST).

Kojima will be joined by singer-songwriter Daichhi Mura alongside five other guests including:
- Kenjiro Tsuda  (Japanese actor)
- Nana Mizuki  (Japanese voice actress and singer)
- Tomokazu Sugita (Japanese voice actor and author)
- Shion Wakayama (Japanese voice actress)
- Nicolas Winding Refn (Danish film director and screenwriter).
Death Stranding 2: On the Beach is a sequel to 2019’s Death Stranding which was set in the United States following an apocalyptic event which saw creatures roaming the Earth. You played as Sam Bridges, who’ll be the returning protagonist in the sequel, played by The Walking Dead’s Norman Reedus. Bridges is tasked, as a courier, to deliver supplies to isolated communities and reconnect them via a wireless network.
I have yet to play the first Death Stranding, but it’s definitely on my list, Kojima has such a creative mind, and I’m super intrigued by the series, especially after seeing the latest trailer from Sony’s State of Play earlier this year (see trailer above).
Will you be tuning in to find out more details about the upcoming sequel?
