If there was ever any doubts that EA’s return to the college football scene was going to be a success you can put thodd doubts to rest.
EA Sport’s College Football 25 officially launches today however fans that purchased the MVP edition were able to play the game a few days early and EA has unveiled some numbers from that early access time. According to EA the game had a staggering 2.2 million unique users boot up the game via early access.

In addition to those numbers EA says another 600,000 users played the game via the 10 hour EA Play trial. These combined numbers mean almost 3 million people have played College Football 25 before the game even officially launched.
Speaking on the monumental release was Daryl Holt, SVP and Group GM, EA SPORTS who said “From the moment we decided to make EA SPORTS College Football 25, the passionate college football fans out there were our team’s north star. This game is for the fans, and the response we’ve seen from across the collegiate landscape, athletes, creators, celebrities and the core community has been nothing short of spectacular,”

Holt goes on to say “Every team is someone’s favorite, and College Football 25 is a testament to the passion and dedication of our developers to build the most authentic college football experience possible for our fans. We couldn’t be more excited to welcome millions more into the game with today’s launch.”
I think it’s safe to say that EA has already enjoyed a successful launch and that College Football might once again become a yearly sports franchise for the company
