Developer Frontier today announced Planet Coaster 2, a much anticipated sequel to the original for those who love to build their own theme parks.

Announced via X Planet Coaster 2 sees many additions to the series including water rides, hotels and multiplayer. Yes that’s right you will now be able to play Planet Coaster with friends. On the Planet Coaster website we hear much more details

“Dive into the thrilling world of Planet Coaster 2! Construct the theme park of your dreams with an intuitive piece-by-piece building system, as you meticulously craft and customise every aspect of your park down to the smallest detail. From towering rollercoasters to spectacular twisting water slides, let your imagination reach new heights to delight and thrill your guests.”

The multiplayer component might be the most interesting of this announcement. “Team up with friends in Sandbox and Franchise mode to build asynchronously on a shared save across platforms, share your creations in-game and on the Frontier Workshop, and embark on park-hopping adventures to experience the delights of fellow players’ creations.”

While we have no official release date the game is scheduled to release in fall 2024 on Xbox Series S/X, PlayStation 5, Steam and Epic Game Store.
