We are on officially on the "Road to Glory"! CFB 25 did a deep dive into one of their most beloved modes "Road To Glory". This is where you go from recruit to campus legend. For a lot of fans this is their favorite mode, and we are glad it is back. Let's take a dive into all the new features and content.
5 star..
So unlike the last CFB game we don't get to play our senior season in high school but we do get to pick what kind of prospects we are. This is the beginning and an important decision, you pick from Elite( 5 stars ), Blue Chip( 4 stars ), Contributor ( 3 stars ) or Underdog ( 2 Star ). The Elite chose, you start as an 79 overall prospect. As Blue Chip prospects you come in as a 75 overall. Contributor can range and the underdog, for those who want a challenge you start as a 60 overall. If you pick elite or blue chip you get to start with a mental ability unlike the 3 and 2 star prospects.
After making the choice of what star recruit you are, you then pick the position you will play. You get to choose from QB, Running back, Wide receiver, linebacker or cornerback. After that you select your archetype for the position you chose. Each position will have different archetypes, if you choose to be a field general QB you will have better accuracy in the pocket.
As I stated previously if you pick an Elite recruit or Blue Chip, you gain access to extra mental ability, while everyone will pick from the core 3. You choose from "Fan Favorite", "Road Dog", and "Clearheaded". Each mental ability can go from activated to deactivated if you don't met the weekly agenda meters. Elite and blue chip get the extra mental ability that's not tied to weekly agenda meters.
The Selection Process
Once you have finished customizing and choosing your abilities it's time for the selection process. You interview with a local reporter and answer questions and from that you go to signing day. On signing day, you will see the schools and every school will have an interest bar, this will tell you how interested they are in you. Additionally, you will see if they have offered you a scholarship.

"Road To Glory" isn't just about leaving a legacy on the field, you have to balance being a true student athlete. You have your weekly agenda and practice where you are trying to earn the coach's trust. During practice you choose from skill and team mini-games. Skill mini-games are more focused on your individual skills and team mini-games require you to work with your teammates.
Being that student athlete you also have to put time into studying. Each week you get 5 energy points to spend. You decide how to spend your time and points but choose wisely. you have 5 key activities academics, leadership, health, training and brand. For the full breakdown of each activity click here.
From building your brand to get NIL deals, to earning the coaches trust to gain more playing time and to be able to access more of the playbook, to managing your health on and off the field; their is so much more depth to this new "Road To Glory" mode. Not to mention the beast that is the transfer portal is also in this mode. At the end of each season you will have the option of entering the portal or staying at your school.
One ends and another begins
Every journey does eventually come to an end. Through earning your spot atop the depth chart, to winning conference player of the week awards and hopefully national championships, you get decide how end you college career. You can choose to retire or transfer your player to Madden 25's superstar mode.
There is so much to do in CFB 25 "Road To Glory" mode then ever before. You have your own stories and dilemmas that you go through as a player and I personally can't wait to experience this.
