Tales Of Kenzera:Zau Studio Hit With Layoffs

Another day, another studio affected by layoffs, this time from Surgent Studios, developers of the critically acclaimed Tales Of Kenzera:Zau.

Announced via their X account today the studio has made the difficult decision to cut 12 jobs at the studio. Tales Of Kenzera: Zau was their debut game and released earlier this year on Xbox, PlayStation and PC to solid reviews (we at GSC gave it a 9)and a great reception from fans. The game also launched day one on PlayStation Plus and was published by the EA Originals branch dedicated to publishing indie games.

Statement from Surgent Studios

It seems like almost a daily occurrence that we get news of a studio or gaming company laying off employees as the industry shifts out of the COVID era.

There is no way to sugarcoat news like this and we hope that everyone affected quickly lands on their feet elsewhere.
