With Elden Ring about to receive it’s first major expansion with Shadow Of The Erdtree next week Fromsoftware has announced a major new milestone for the game.

Via a post on X Fromsoftware announced that Elden Ring has sold an impressive 25 million units since its release. The last sales update we had on Elden Ring was in March in which they had sold 23 million units so the game is still selling quite well. With the release of Erdtree that number is very likely to climb sooner rather than later.

Elden Ring has been one of the biggest successes in all of gaming since it released in 2022 from both a sales standpoint and critical standpoint. It won a multitude of awards in 2022 and according to metacritic is one of the highest rated games in history.

For those interested in the upcoming Shadow Of The Erdtree expansion it should be noted that in order to access the content within it you will need to have progressed to almost the end of the game and defeat a specific boss first. If you haven’t you may want to jump back into the game to get up to speed.

Elden Ring Shadow of The Erdtree releases on PC, Xbox and PlayStation June 21st.
