Only 3 new easy achievement / trophy games released this week. Two of the games both happen to be retro style adventure games with psychological horror themes. The last is a super quick puzzle game to get your Gamerscore / Trophy dopamine fix.

Terminal 81 (Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Windows, PS4, PS5)
Estimated Completion Time: 6-10 Hours
Publisher: Sometimes You
Developers: David Pateti
Release Date: May 28, 2024
Xbox Store Links: Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Windows
Playstation Store Links: PS4, PS5
A triple stack available on Xbox between the Series X|S, Xbox One and Windows versions. On PlayStation there’s the usual PS4/PS5 stack.
While there are multiple stacks available for Terminal 81, it is a bit of a longer game due to having to complete the story 3 complete times for the 3 separate endings. There’s no save tricks available so if you do want the triple stack on Xbox you’re looking at playing this game a whopping 9 times!! Might want to spread that out a bit.
Terminal 81 is a very retro style, psychological horror game mixed with grocery store clerk simulation. Yes it’s an odd combination. Your character has moved to São Paulo and landed themselves a supermarket job. The neighborhood is rife with crime and poverty. Local girls have gone missing. The game allows you to interact with different players to figure out the story or you can choose to just go about your day job.
One of things I love about achievement hunting is the variety of games I try out because of this hobby. If it weren’t for that I definitely would have passed on this game. If you’re looking for achievements and something different then check this one out.

Skeler Boy (Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS5)
Estimated Completion Time: 2-3 Hours
Publisher: Ratalaika Games
Developers: MANIAC BOY STUDIO
Release Date: May 30, 2024
Xbox Store Links: Xbox
Playstation Store Links: PS4/PS5
Just the one version available on Xbox. On PlayStation there is a cross-buy option along with the PS4/PS5 Stack.
Skeler Boy immerses players into a retro-style psychological horror adventure, embodying the protagonist, Skeler, on a quest to unravel the mystery behind his missing girlfriend, Megan. Delving into themes of psychosis and suicide, the game invokes the eerie ambiance reminiscent of 1970s and 1980s cinema.
As you solve puzzles and move through the game you’ll transition into new “chapters”. Additionally, you will also unlock comic pages under the comic tab on the main menu. You can also find some hidden comic pages scattered throughout the game. It’s a great companion to the gaming experience.
The game throws a couple of fun and engaging gameplay mechanics at you. Early on you are presented with an AR-88 receiver that you can access through the menu. If you tune it to the right number you can can make phone calls which are needed for progression. You will occasionally need to lockpick doors and the mini game for that really reminds me of Skyrim. Don’t worry if you break them as lockpicks seem to be unlimited. You will also find locked door behind codes and once you find the code you will have to execute timed button sequences.
I don’t want to discuss too much as the game is short and players should enjoy the story, but I definitely recommend this game. At the moment the final achievement is bugged on Xbox for any completionists out there.
UPDATE: Ratalaika is awesome and and a recent update has fixed the bug for the final achievement. If you already completed the game, loading in will retroactively pop that last one for you.

O-VOID: Console Edition (Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS5)
Estimated Completion Time: 15-30 minutes
Publisher: TERNOX
Developers: Gearhead Games
Release Date: May 30, 2024
Xbox Store Links: Xbox
Playstation Store Links: PS4/PS5
Again, just the one version available on Xbox. On PlayStation there is a cross-buy option along with the PS4/PS5 Stack. This is also the shortest game released this week.
O-VOID is a fun little action-runner where you only need to worry about pressing the A button to jump. You control a cube stuck in a spinning circle. As the circle spins different puzzle patterns are thrown at you. Jump over obstacles and avoid crashing. As the levels progress different mechanics are included to throw you off. The levels can change direction or flip upside down.
If you’d like to get a quick completion you can go into the settings and turn on slow mode to slow things down. This can help getting the timing of the levels down easier. They do get tricky as you progress.
