Redfall Set To Receive One Final Update

In what I’m sure was a bittersweet post, the Redfall team announced via X that the game will be receiving one final update before Arcane Austin officially shuts its doors and thanked their fans.

The final update, Game Update 4, will bring revamped Neighborhood and Nest systems, Single Player Pausing, the much requested Offline Mode, and more.

Killing vampires offline in Redfall is a thing soon

Redfall developer Arkane Austin was unfortunately one of the studios that Microsoft announced would be closing its doors last week. At least they were given the opportunity to push this one last update out for their game.

Unfortunately for Xbox and Arcane, Redfall has been behind the 8 ball since it’s launch. It released to a poor critical reception and the fans didn’t seem to enjoy it much either, especially without a 60fps mode at launch.

Whatever happens to the team at Arkane Austin we wish them the best going forward and hope they get to continue making games that they love elsewhere.
