Easy Achievements / Trophy Games: Week of May 6-12th

A good list of short and easy games this week, with most completion times clocking in around the 1-2 hour mark.

Prison of Illusion (Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One)

Publisher: DERIK DF
Developers: DERIK DF
Release Date: May 8, 2024

Just the one achievement list for Prison of Illusion on Xbox.

Prison of Illusion is a retro-style platformer boasting 20 levels of varying difficulty. With completion times ranging from 30 minutes to an hour, it offers a satisfying challenge for players of different skill levels. From straightforward levels to more intricate ones featuring timing, fire, spikes, switches, and moving platforms, the game keeps you on your toes throughout. Despite its brevity, I found it quite enjoyable. It was definitely satisfying getting through a couple of the harder levels. If you’re seeking platformer action and a quick burst of Gamerscore, I highly recommend giving this game a try.

The Prisoner of the Night (Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4)

Publisher: eastasiasoft
Developers: RMAL, eastasiasoft
Release Date: May 8, 2024

Another single achievement list for the Xbox fans out there. Cross-buy and trophy stack option for the PlayStation owners.

While The Prisoner of the Night is on our short games list this week, this one will take longer. It’s quite difficult if I’m being honest. This game is a side scrolling platformer where you play as a girl who has been stolen by the night from her home. A lot of the platforming is timed and will take quite a few repetitions to get through. Some areas simply require you to figure out the puzzle to make the platforming easier, however solutions might not be noticeable at first. It can be quite frustrating as this game requires a lot of jumping and I found the controls for that to be very inconsistent. The achievements for dying so many times will come at you fast and furious. Levels do have checkpoints and I found that if I made it to a checkpoint then I better try and completely finish that level so as not to have to repeat parts. At the time of this writing no one has completed this on Xbox yet. You can net yourself 450-500 Gamerscore in 30-40 minutes.

Farlands Journey (Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Windows)

Publisher: Desert Water Games
Developers: Spell Pie
Release Date: May 10, 2024

This game features an achievement stack between the Xbox and Windows versions.

Farlands Journey is a super colorful platformer/adventure game. As you play through the levels you collect gems which you can spend on upgrades. You can shoot enemies with different magical wands to collect their hats which provide you with different effects. The game is quite enjoyable and completion time will take between 1-2 hours.

Kinduo 2 – Frostbite (Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4)

Publisher: Ratalaika Games
Developers: Nib Games, Guimaraf Studio
Release Date: May 10, 2024

One achievement list on Xbox. PlayStation fans are lucky with a cross buy option and the trophy stack.

Kinduo 2 is a unique co-op platformer. Play together locally with a friend or alone. You control 2 characters and your objective is to reach the exit door. One guy is ice and one is fire. Use their unique skills to melt and build ice blocks to end the level. You must complete all the levels to finish off this game. Completion time will take roughly 1-2 hours.

Paper Flight – Future Battles (Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS4)

Publisher: EpiXR Games
Developers: EpiXR Games
Release Date: May 10, 2024

Only the one achievement/trophy list available on Xbox and PlayStation.

Paper Flight – Future Battles is another reskinned EpiXR game. I’ve said it before, but if you’ve played one you’ve played them all. You fly around levels as a paper airplane collecting glowing balloons to build up your dash meter. You complete the levels by dashing through the “evil” balloons. It doesn’t get much simpler then that. Completion time should take between 1-2 hours.
