In an interview with Chinese outlet Campfire Camp, Elden Ring game director and FromSoftware studio head Hidetaka Miyazaki spoke on a variety of topics, including the future of Elden Ring and where they go after the upcoming Shadow Of The Erdtree DLC.
"Shadow of the Erdtree is the first and last DLC, and we have no plans to add more content to Elden Ring,” Miyazaki said, via machine translation.

"Elden Ring emphasizes exploration and adventure in a big world. In order to provide such an experience, a vast and huge setting is inevitably needed. Therefore, instead of splitting it into several parts, it was better to simply make one big [expansion]. If they were sold separately, the freedom of exploration and sense of adventure would be reduced.”
The good news for fans of the game is Miyazaki didn't rule out a sequel to the hit 2022 game, which is in line with publisher Bandai Namco saying Elden Ring's success was the beginning of a new franchise.
For fans wanting to jump back into The Lands Between you won't have to wait much longer as Shadow Of The Erdtree drops June 21st.
