According to an article by Bloomberg, Take-Two Interactive plans to fire 5% of its workforce and they will drop several projects to drive cost-savings efforts, according to a filing on Tuesday.
The report states the company sees potential savings of up to $200 million as part of the cuts, including up to roughly $140 million from the cancelled projects and another $35 million from employee related costs.
According to filings last year, Take-Two had more than 11,000 employees at the end of its last fiscal year.
Take-Two overseas a number of major game franchises via its subsidiaries, include some of the largest in gaming, such as Grand Theft Auto and Red Dead Redemption.
