As the calendar rolls over to April 1st we can officially say the first quarter is complete. And what a first quarter it was. The gaming industry is rolling with a ton of great games. So we took to our community over on discord,which you can find here if you’d like to join, to find out what games they’ve enjoyed and tallied them all up to find out current Game of the year contenders.
The criteria was simple. List your top 3 games and we will score them. First gets 5 points, second gets 3, third gets one. Keep in mind this is just a group of gamers opinions, not critic scores, and not everyone played every game. 20 games received votes.
So without further ado let me bring you the results:
- Banishers: Ghosts Of New Eden – 24 points
- Dragon's Dogma 2 – 21 points
- Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth – 16 points
- Helldivers 2 – 14 points
- Unicorn Overlord – 10 points
Other games receiving votes: Suicide Squad, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, Persona 3 Reloaded, Last Epoch, Prince Of Persia, Tekken 8, Princess Peach, Outlast Trials, War Hospital, Alone In The Dark, Ultros, Balatro, Tin Hearts VR, Pepper Grinder, Dice People.
Based on these results, it’s pretty clear at least in our community, that 2024 so far has been a big year for single player and RPG games. Based on our community score of Banishers I’m not shocked to see it at the top of the list. I can’t begin to tell you how much you need to find the time to play it. You wont regret it.
