Today it has been formally announced that Saber Interactive has divested select assets from Embracer Group. The deal is worth 247 million USD and sees Saber take 38 ongoing projects with them as well as a proprietary engine and game tools. The buyer is Beacon Interactive, a company controller by Saber co-founder Matthew Karch. The deal means Embracer Group has now ceased all operations inside of Russia after this deal. The deal means 2,950 employees will be moving with Saber.

Meanwhile Embracer will still keep control of multiple studios including Tripwire Interactive (Killing Floor 3), Aspyr Media (Star Wars Battlefront Collection), 4A games (Metro series), Zen Studios(Pinball FX) and others. However the buyer and seller are discussing the buyout of 4A and Zen in a separate deal. Terms have not been disclosed of that deal as of yet.

Embracer Group will retain control of 14 projects, 2 of which are joint projects with Saber Interactive. They include:
- The next AAA game from 4A Games
- An unannounced concept phase AAA game
- A previously announced AAA game based on a major license
- A new AAA multiplayer shooter based on a controlled IP
- A new AA game based on an Asmodee IP
- A new AA game from 34 Big Things based on an owned IP
- Killing Floor 3
- Teardown (ongoing development)
- The full upcoming pipeline and back catalog from Zen Studios, Aspyr and Tripwire

More details are likely to come out later today and when they do we will bring them to you.
