Bloodrush: Undying Wish is a lightning-fast hack-and-slash roguelike set in a gothic world where Death has mysteriously vanished. Digimon Story Time Stranger

- Developer: Media Vision Inc
- Publisher: Bandai Namco Entertainment Inc
- Release Date: Out Now!
- Platforms: PC (Steam), PS5, Xbox Series
The best monster game is back (hot take? maybe)! Digimon Story: Time Stranger demo allows you to play the first chapter of the game to get a feel for their monster creation system, the story that is unfolding, and the world you are thrown into! In this entry in the Digimon Story series, you’re going to be travelling between the human world and the digital world to stop the end of the world! Awaken eight years in the past to try and stop the world from collapsing. In this first chapter, you’ll also get the opportunity to use some of the abilities of the monsters to navigate the world.
The turn-based battles are extremely smooth, and the first chapter will take you about 2-3 hours, depending on how much you try to level up and check out different sorts of monsters. Once you complete the demo, you’ll also get the opportunity to explore the monster world and try a challenge in Central Town, and see so many of the monsters living their lives.
The first chapter’s save data will transfer over to the main game when you’re ready to make the purchase. The Central Town exploration will not transfer over. However, it’s a great way to get a feel for this fantastic turn-based game that was a part of so many childhoods!
Demo available on PC (Steam), PS5, and Xbox Series.

Yooka-Replaylee

- Developer: Playtonic Games
- Publisher: PM Studios, Playtonic Friends
- Release Date: Oct 9th, 2025
- Platforms: PC, Nintendo Switch 2, PS5, Xbox Series X/S
Yooka-Replaylee is an expanded remake/remaster of the 2017 crowdfunded Banjo-Kazooie successor from Playtonic Games, a studio composed of many ex-Rare talent. Like the original, this is a collect-a-thon 3D platformer built in the style of Nintendo 64 and PlayStation classics; however, this title promises to make good on many of the criticisms levelled at the original game, with enhanced visuals, quality-of-life changes, and revamped level design.
The demo, which is currently only available on Xbox Series X/S consoles, features the game’s opening moments, which already demonstrate huge improvements over the original. The story has been reworked, and a new tutorial has been added, highlighting the vastly reworked traversal mechanics, helping this entry feel leaps and bounds more satisfying than its 2017 predecessor.
Be sure to check out our exclusive interview with Gavin Price, the CEO of Playtonic Games, as he chats with us about their upcoming “remakester”.
Demo available on PC(Steam) and Xbox Series.
Dicealot

- Developer: goodviewgames
- Publisher: Yogsacast Games
- Release Date: Oct 9th 2025
- Platforms: PC (Steam)
Dicealot is a quirky roguelike dice-builder set in an Arthurian world where you play as Queen Gwynevere, leading knights on a quest to save a bewitched King Arthur. The gameplay focuses on rolling dice and storing points, scoring combos, then rerolling the rest to try and maximise your Power. If you don’t roll any scoring dice on the reroll, you “Farkle”, meaning you lose all of your stored power, giving a good level of strategy to the risk vs. reward gameplay. Defeat enemies and collect magical Quest-Dice that empower your journey through chaotic challenges in Camelot.
Players build their dice pools by forming powerful combos and must carefully balance risk and reward, deciding when to keep rolling for higher scores or when to stop to avoid losing everything. Combat involves facing off against iconic Arthurian foes like Redmayne and Lancelot, with each boss presenting tough battles that require strategic thinking and survival skills, especially since healing options are limited between fights. The demo showcases a full gameplay loop and hints at meta-progression features planned for the full release, which will allow players to develop stronger builds over time.
Demo available on PC (Steam).
Tormented Souls 2

- Developer: Dual Effect
- Publisher: PQube
- Release Date: Oct 23rd, 2025
- Platforms: PC (Steam), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S
Tormented Souls 2 is a follow-up to the 2021 indie survival horror that follows the original game’s protagonist, Caroline Walker, as she attempts to escape a terrifying rural town known as Villa Hess after seeking refuge there with her traumatized sister Anna.
Much like the original game, this is a fixed-camera throwback in the style of the original Resident Evil and Silent Hill games, where players can choose to play with the modern controls or tank controls. There are also options for finite save options for hardcore classic horror fans, but this is a series that is proven to successfully blend the old with the new, and the sequel seems to be shaping up to be more of what the fans loved from the original, based on the roughly one-hour demo.
Tormented Souls 2’s demo is available now on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S. The full release arrives soon on October 23, just in time for Halloween.
Demo available on PC (Steam) and Xbox Series.
The Posthumous Investigation

- Developer: Mother Gaia Studio
- Publisher: Nuuvem
- Release Date: Nov 6th, 2025
- Platforms: PC (Steam)
Based on a novel by Machado de Assis, Memórias Póstumas de Brás Cubas (“Posthumous Memoirs of Brás Cubas”, also translated as Epitaph of a Small Winner), play as the detective who is hired to uncover the truth behind Brás Cubas’ murder. Of course, this won’t be a straightforward murder mystery game. In fact, you’ll be playing the same day over and over to unlock new clues. Be sure to speak to people at different times throughout the day to see them in different situations. You’ll also hear more about their wants and needs to be able to sway them to be a bit more helpful as you repeat the day.
At the end of the day, when you pass into limbo, you’ll be met by Bras Cubas, who wants you to solve his murder. It would be too easy for him to tell you everything that happened, so you’ll need to work through the clues with him together. He’s not completely rude, though; he’ll give you a hint if you ask for one before sending you back to your office to restart the day and your investigation.
In the demo, you can expect to see a “suffering” sister, a questionable church leader, a nervous pharmacist, and explore a nightclub, all in just the demo. This game will give you at least 2-3 hours of gameplay, so enjoy!
Demo available on PC (Steam).

- Developer & Publisher: Supantha Paul
- Release Date: Q1 2026
- Platforms: PC
Abashed is a 2.5D narrative-driven side-scroller that follows Isaac, a man grappling with psychosis, as he searches for his missing partner. The demo introduces players to a reality-shifting mechanic where Isaac takes medication to alter the environment, revealing hidden objects, messages, and pathways. This mechanic plays a central role in solving puzzles and progressing through the story, often requiring players to revisit areas with a fresh perspective.
The atmosphere is eerie and introspective, blending psychological horror with emotional storytelling. Players must confront Isaac’s fears and secrets while navigating surreal environments and interacting with cryptic characters. Though short, the demo offers a compelling glimpse into its unique gameplay loop and sets the tone for a deeper, more haunting experience in the full release.

Emblems: Sunless Vow

- Developer & Publisher: oldflowerGames
- Release Date: Q1 2026
- Platforms: PC(Steam)
Emblems: Sunless Vow is a roguelite visual novel that takes us on a journey of three unlikely friends to destroy ‘the void’. Roguelite elements impact turn-based battles as we seek to progress from battle to battle further into the void. The 45-minute demo introduces us to the three quirky protagonists – Magic, Weapon, and the rather odd character, Spirit.
As the three characters, each with their own deck of attacks, we take on an ever-changing array of enemies. There are RNG setting options too, allowing you to play story-only and enjoy the novel. Or turn up the dial with a higher risk.
If you’re a fan of tactical roguelites, I think Emblems: Sunless Vow is worth adding to your watchlist ahead of its Q1 2026 release.
Demo available on PC (Steam).
That’s another dozen or so demos for another month! We hope you enjoyed this month’s issue of Demo Disc and found some games to pick up today or add to your wishlist, which really helps the developers.
